Please read the terms and conditions set out below and our privacy policy carefully. By browsing and/or using our site and our service you accept these terms and conditions and our privacy policy.  If you do not wish to accept our terms and conditions and/or our privacy policy please do not browse or use our site or our service.

Jobswithoutdesks.com is owned and operated by Fish and Chip Media Ltd, Suite 1, 98 Aldershot Road, Fleet, Hampshire, GU513GY, company no. 6735756.  In these terms and conditions and our privacy policy ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ means Fish and Chip Media Limited, “our site” means the website Jobswithoutdesks.com and “you” means you, the person browsing and/or using our site.

1) Our site and services

Jobswithoutdesks.com is an online job information and recruitment website the use of which is free of charge for jobseekers.  Through our site we provide a service whereby recruiters can advertise jobs on our site and jobseekers can upload their CV for those recruiters to read.  Recruiters may then contact jobseekers directly if they wish.   Please note that when applying for a job advertised on our site you will be corresponding and dealing directly with the recruiter responsible for that job advert and not us.   We have no control over the actual jobs advertised on our site and the recruiters advertising those jobs are not connected with us in anyway other than as advertisers on our site (unless otherwise specifically stated).   We cannot accept any liability for the content of any advert, any of the actual jobs advertised or any contracts and / or arrangements you enter into with any recruiter(s).  We make no promises or warranties at all as to your success or otherwise in obtaining employment with any of the recruiters featured.


2) Use of our site and services.

2.1 You must be 18 years old or over to register on our site and use our service. As a condition of your use of our site and our service, you warrant to us that you will not use it or any material or information on it for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms and conditions. Specifically but not by way of limitation you agree not to upload to or publish on our site any material that could be deemed offensive, specifically but not limited to material which is discriminatory, threatening, obscene, defamatory, untrue, racist, sexist or which breaches any applicable law.

2.2 When registering on our site, using our service, uploading a CV and/or communicating with a recruiter you agree that the information you provide will be accurate and true at all times.  By registering on our site you agree that we can enable recruiters to view any CV you have provided. When you are logged on you can remove or alter the content of your CV at any time. Please also see our Privacy Policy for more information on how we deal with and use your personal data.

2.3 You agree not to upload to or publish on our site any material which contains any computer virus or spyware or any other material that could damage our site in any way whatsoever.

2.4 We reserve the right to suspend or deny you access to our site and/or our service at any time without incurring any liability to you. If this happens you may not re-register without our written consent.

2.5 We reserve the right to edit any material or information you upload to or publish on our site if we feel in our reasonable opinion that it breaches these terms and conditions in any way or we have other reasonable grounds for doing so.

2.6  Fish and Chip Media Limited and/or its licensors are the owners and/or authorized users of any trademarks, registered trademarks and/or service marks used or appearing within our site, and are the copyrights and database rights owners of the content and/or information available on or downloaded through our site unless otherwise specifically stated. You may copy and save information from the site for your personal, non-commercial use. All other uses of the content, unless agreed in writing with us are strictly prohibited.  We do not grant any license or other authorisation to you of our trademarks, registered trademarks, service marks, or other copyright works or other intellectual property by placing them on the site and/or allowing you to browse and/or use our site.

2.7 We are an English registered Company.  Our business and the service we offer are governed exclusively by the applicable laws of England and Wales.  No warranties and/or representations of any kind, express or implied, are given as to the compliance of the information shown on our site, the service offered by or on behalf of us, any information relating to such service and/or our business in any respect with any laws of any other country. Such laws do not, in any event, affect or apply to the same.

2.8 Access to our site is conditional on your agreement that all information contained in it and all matters which arise between you and us will be governed by English law. Access is further conditional on your agreement that any dispute or matter which arises between you and us will be dealt with by the Courts of England and Wales only to the exclusion of the Courts of any other country.

2.9. You must not link (including deep linking) to our site without our prior written agreement.

2.10 No warranties, promises and/or representations of any kind, express or implied, are given as to the accuracy or completeness of any of the material or information contained on our site or as to the nature, standard, suitability or otherwise of any service offered by us or on our behalf or by any recruiters featured on our site.  We shall not be liable for any loss or damage or other sum or claim of any nature whatsoever (direct, indirect, consequential or other) which arises, directly or indirectly, in connection with our site or any service we provide including, for the avoidance of doubt and not by way of limitation, any use of any information or material contained on our site or any inability to access or use (or delay in doing so) our site. 

2.11 All exclusions of liability apply only to the extent permitted by law.

2.12 The information contained on our site may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical and other errors. The information on our site may be updated from time to time and may at times be out of date. We accept no responsibility for keeping the information on our site up to date or liability for failure to do so.

2.13. Our site may contain links to other websites. Except where they belong to us, such other websites are not under our control or maintained by us. We are not responsible for the content of such websites. We provide these links for your convenience only but do not monitor or endorse the material on them. We cannot accept any liability whatsoever and howsoever arising in relation to any such other websites (including, for the avoidance of doubt and not by way of limitation, any inability to access or delay in accessing any such other website) or in relation to any material or information appearing on them or which you may otherwise come across after leaving our site by way of a hypertext link or any other means.

2.14. We make no warranty that our site (or any websites that are linked to our site) is free from technical errors, computer viruses or any other malicious or impairing computer programs.  It is your responsibility to ensure you carry out sufficient checks (including virus checks) to satisfy your particular requirements.


3) Other

3.1) We do not generally actively monitor information (although we reserve the right to do so) uploaded to or published on our site by users and as such rely on you and other users of the site to inform us of any apparent breaches of this agreement. 3.2) By signing up to receive email alerts you allow us to contact you by email and accept that we cannot guarantee that our emails will be free from viruses and as such are not liable for any losses or damage resulting from such a situation.  Please also see our Privacy Policy for further information on how we deal with and use your personal data.

3.3) We reserve the right to assign or otherwise transfer any and all of our rights interests or obligations under this Agreement and/or this Agreement in its entirety to any third party, at any time.

3.4 We may alter these terms and conditions and/or our privacy policy at any time.  If we do so, all subsequent use of our site by you will be governed by the newer version(s).  You must check these terms and conditions and our privacy policy regularly.
