To help the season go smoothly there are a few simple things you can do before you go.
Make sure you have enough money to keep you going until you get paid. The last thing you want is to be broke as soon as you get there.
Check that you’re covered. Many companies will arrange medical and liability insurance but check to see whether or not you are covered for personal belongings. If not your employer may be able to help you arrange it – alternatively get your own insurance set up.
EHIC cards – an essential if you are working in the EU. This card will help you claim back the costs of simple medical treatment. See www.ehic.org
Pack light. It’s unlikely that your employers will cover any excess baggage charges and you probably need a lot less than you think!
